Practice Manager/Patient Navigator

I was born in Brooklyn, NY, but grew up in Colombia, South America, where my family is originally from. I moved back to the US to attend college at LIU Post. I have always loved dentistry and felt drawn to the field; once I shadowed my first tibia surgery I knew oral and maxillofacial surgery was where I belonged. I worked in this field for 15 years before joining Elite. During that time, I became DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification) certified, which requires advanced knowledge of peri-op and emergency management of patients undergoing outpatient anesthesia.

I knew in my heart that I wanted to be a part of a patient-care team like Elite. I have worked alongside Dr. Ellie for many years and have seen her grow and mature as a surgeon. I shared her vision for a patient-centered practice where surgical and medical excellence are the standard, and where an exceptional patient experience is the goal. I am so thrilled to be part of Elite’s inception. Working alongside a surgeon who shares my passion is exactly where I want to be.

When I am not working, I love taking road trips with my husband and our 3 girls, running half marathons (haven’t worked up the courage to run a full one yet), hiking, and listening to opera while practicing calligraphy. Yes, you read that correctly. Oh, and I was a staff sergeant in the U.S Army.
